One of our residents just turned 105 and received a birthday message from His Majesty and the Queen Consort. The room was decorated with balloons, banners and streamers to celebrate a wonderful occasion.

We had a great time last week at Thornfield Care Home celebrating ‘International Cake Day‘ with our residents. Our residents couldn’t resist taking a bite of their cakes as soon as they were happy with the finished look.

We hosted a summer party in our garden. It was a reminiscing day with all-themed activities like live singer singing and residents’ choice of ice creams. The team had an excellent response from the residents who were delighted to enjoy an experience in the home outdoor.

National Pet Day sees furry friends bring delight to our residents. A host of pets brought delight to our residents as part of celebrations for National Pet Day. The Wellbeing teams at Thornfield Care Home welcomed in a host of dogs for the national awareness day.

We had a wonderful time on Shrove Tuesday at Thornfield Care Home.

Our residents enjoyed a fun afternoon of pancake flipping. One of our got a surprise and couldn’t help but laugh. We talked about different toppings like golden syrup, lemon juice, sugar, and chocolate, and everyone had their own favourite.

A place of relaxation, rest and tranquillity.

One of our resident went on a trip to the Milford on Sea and enjoyed a lovely walk on the beach along with our companion. She also enjoyed the view of the sea and the gentle sea breeze on her face. After looking at the beach, it brought back memories from her past.
